Week 3 DraftKings Line Ups

Here are my early looks at my Draftkings line ups this week...

Sun Contest

LINE 1

Kirk Cousins- With a slate that has so many options for top Qbs I feel like Cousins is some what of a sneaky play. He is playing in the game with the highest projected point total but against a guy some believe may make a run at MVP. Kirk has a prime match up against not only a bad but banged up Oakland secondary. At a pretty cheap price and what should be moderate ownership he is 1 of the 3 Qbs I am using this week.

I. Crowell- WOW what a bust last week. That Ravens defense came through for them when it mattered and this pick from last week didn't do much. This week has a much much friendlier match up so I am going to take advantage of the fact most people will be off this guy. The Colts run defense is nothing to admire despite giving up only 44 yards to vet Chris Johnson.  I am looking for the Crow and this Browns offensive line to assert more control than the Cardinals did with out 2 of their starting offensive linemen.

Johnathan Stewart- I know a lot of people are going to scoff at me for saying this put McCaffery is struggling to run between the tackles. While his pass catching ability is valuable the dude is not a grinder or chain mover by any means. Stewart is and believe it or not he can also catch the ball out of the backfield. He is the primary back there Carolina and I know he will continue to get his carries. His 15 attempts for 40 yards was embarrassing but that Bills defense was really up to the task. Carolina will be up in this game and so feeding J Stew will be an obvious choice for a team that just lost probably its 2nd most valuable offensive weapon.

Antonio Brown- I'm not even playing here. Brown needs to be on your team no matter the chalk. Ben is noticeably worse on the road and unless you have Bell or have a games stack, Brown is the obvious option. TE Jesse James will be hampered in this match up against a Bears defense that is down right bad. I expect a ton of of the Killah Bs here to keep the winning ways going in the Steel City.

Jarvis Landry- I will debating this play all week long. While Landry did receive the majority of the targets in the passing game, I can't help but realize what the Raiders did last week with Crabtree and Parker fits that mold. I may just do 2 line ups with Parker in this spot.

Terrelle Pryor Sr.- This is set up to be a juicy match up for Pryor. The Raiders secondary is bad. The Jets are not very good and they manage to take advantage of injuries and inexperience. A nice stack to go with Cousins. Hopefully a winning combination.

Zach Ertz- Why would I go anywhere else? The Giants are bad but they do have some decent CBs and so that leaves Ertz in another good spot to put up big numbers. He seems to really have it together this year and we should expect a big one if he stays healthy.

Rashard Higgins- With Colemen going down you think this already eh Browns team just got more eh right? Insert Higgins who is ready to step up in a big way this week. He came into last weeks game and had the most targets. Who is playing QB is worth a check. His cheap price offers a good amount of cap relief.

Eagles- Not going to lie... I really do not want to play these guys here. They have a beat up secondary with their front 7 being the high light of the D. I do like to stack my TE with my defense otherwise I would be on the Packers, Steelers, and even Chiefs.

LINE 2

Aaron Rodgers- 2 things I wouldn't want if I was the Bengals right now. 1 get Rodgers at home and 2 coming off a bad loss.Yeah I know they may not have Jordy and or Cobb. That doesn't matter to me. Rodgers will find a way to make things happen via the air whether Montgomery has 15 receptions or not.

LeVeon Bell- Boy o boy has Bell not lived up to his name so far this year. I won't get into snap counts and play percentages here. The Bears defense is just bad and won't be able to hold onto the ball. Big Ben is not as good on the road so I expect a ton of Bell and Brown here. I am choosing to go with Bell in this line.

T. Montgomery- Not to much to say here guys. We all know who Montgomery is and what he means to Green Bay. He is pretty much lock week in and week out and just eat the chalk.

Mohamed Sanu- This is just as much of gut feel as a smart play. OBJ was injured last week and maybe more of a decoy but the Lions did an amazing job with his coverage. No doubt Jones will go off but the Lions are going to live and die by stopping him. That opens to the door for Sanu to do the killing. Sanu was on the field for every snap that Jones was. He is the steady #2 option for Ryan and I feel a good week coming for him.

DeVante Parker- I know that Landry got a ton of the targets last week but this is a copy cat league and I expect Parker to turn in a similar performance that Crabtree did. He is the taller WR with the jump ball style goal line targets he gets we need to start him. I am riding with Parker this week even if last week he didn't do much.

Rashard Higgins- (see above)

Jack Doyle- This guy is obviously one of Jacoby's favorite targets. He played 70 of 71 snaps and saw 8 targets leading the team in receiving. Now he faces a Browns defense that gave up 2 TDs to Jesse James in week 1. He is one of my favorites this week.

DeSean Jackson- I said it last week with Martavis Bryrant and I am going to say it this week with Jackson. If you are going to beat the Vikings passing the ball its going to be vs Trey Waynes and Terrance Newman. They are awful covering deep and when you get them in man coverage which you will with Evans on the other side you will win.

Steelers- I know I said I like to match my TE with my defense but I would be insane to roll with the Colts D. Well maybe not insane but just no. So I play the chalky Steelers here. Being chalky is not bad. Every week so far you would be cashing big if you just played the highest trending players. The Bears are bad and I would not be surprised if TJ has 3 or 4 sacks.

I typically do 5-7 lines per week in a contest I feel good about. These 2 are line ups I will be using along with others. A lot of players I did not include that I will be getting exposure to this week.

Week 3 Rookie Cookies

As a non professional I tend to maybe under analyze things but here are my picks for rookies to perform in week 3...

Rashard Higgins- This weeks rookie step up player. Last week Corey Colemen went down and insert Higgins. Took over the target share for the game and put up a decent number. Not such a sleeper this week with all the buzz on him but still will go under played.

Chris Carson- We usually see this happen about week 3. A rookie RB come in and take over the carries. There was a lot of talk about Carson prior to him last week which helped raise awareness but be on high alert. He is here and he is the lead back in Seattle. Much is to made about Rawls, CJ, and Fat Ed. Don't buy it. If he continues to spark the running game he will keep his job.

Evan Engram- Welcome to the NFL Engram, I have been talking about this guy from the start. I love Engram and this will probably be his final week on the list before he is just to0 well known. With a banged up secondary worried about OBJ Engram should have plenty of looks to build on last week.

Week 3 sleepers

Qb: Jay Cutler
Smokin Jay is back and you bet you will be chucking the ball deep this week with no regard. He is matched with another one of sleepers are primed for a big game.

Hb: Chris Carson
Talk about taking over the back field. Carson has taken over the lead RB role in Seattle. This week he has a great match up with a middle of the pack run defense.

Wr: DeVante Parker
This goes hand in hand with Cutler. A big body receiver who runs almost all his router down the field sounds like a winning recipe.

TE: Jack Doyle
This isn't so much of sleeper or won't be by Sunday but he is going to go under owned. He has emerged as the favorite target in Indy and the Browns will be happy to force him to win the game.

Def: Panthers
The Carolina defense shouldn't be a sleeper but I think a lot of people expect this to be a high scoring game. I am staying away from New Orleans completely.

Draft Kings invite!! Come Play Kids

Here is my link for Draft Kings! Come play with us (not like the shining) but realistically you will get in a sense murdered. Link below!!

We are the Chalk

DON'T PLAY THE CHALK... We have all heard it before. Against the header I am not going to tell you to play. Defiantly don't eat the chalk that is for sure. Have we ever stopped and wondered why we just follow this simple DFS rule...Is it really out of understanding or is being contrarian just that attractive. I will challenge the fact but hopefully help guide you to winning in a way that keeps your wife (girl friend) off your back. Let's be real 90% of us aren't playing to win the million. We are playing because we are fans and it justifies me watching the 11:05 Yankees game on a Thursday afternoon. Sure I am gambling but is it really gambling if I am not expecting to win... What am I gambling on? All things we really don't consider. So enjoy or don't enjoy my blogging about random bull shit and DFS brainstorming. Maybe just maybe we might be the 10%.
